Synopsis:

Two brothers that are beneficiaries to a life insurance policy battle it out for a larger slice of the pie. 

Review:

Teddy and Bill (Majid Michel and Johannes Maier) are brothers and beneficiaries of a life insurance policy. If one brother died, the other would inherit the entire pie. Which brother came out on top was left to be seen.

Meanwhile, in a separate storyline, there was love in the air. Brandy (Yvonne Okoro) pretended she was engaged to Ronny Lawson (John Dumelo), a business tycoon. She hoped that the affiliation would increase her business contracts but when Ronnie learned of her shenanigans he went along with her lies instead of calling her bluff. Oh, the games people play in the name of love and money.

Let’s Talk. “The Game” commences with the introduction of many characters and their bios, which was a lot to digest all at once. However, the story progressed and the pieces came together in an intriguing way.

The characters of Yvonne Okoro and John Dumelo added humor, which nicely balanced the suspenseful aspect of the movie. There were many twists and turns that kept the audience attentive and who’s playing what hand wasn’t revealed until the very end.

As for acting, this is a star-studded cast and the actors do justice in their roles as expected. As for the lesser-known actors, some were stiff and frankly, damn near lifeless.

Overall, “The Game” is still an entertaining movie from beginning to end. RECOMMEND
