TAXI DRIVER

Title: TAXI DRIVER (1 & 2)

Starring: Nkem Owoh, Uche Ogbodo

Synopsis:

A taxi driver is contracted by a pretty female passenger to kill her husband.

Review:

Okonkwo (Nkem Owoh) drove a taxi for a living and lived a modest life. He befriended one of his passengers, Monica (Uche Ogbodo) and she hired him to kill her husband. Okonkwo was attracted to her and after some urging he decided to do it but he ended up in jail for another crime.

Two years later when Okonkwo returned from prison, he attempted to lead a normal life but he was once again propositioned by Monica to get the job done. Meanwhile, Monica’s husband had contracted Okonkwo to kill her.

Let’s Talk. This movie is sewn together with a healthy dose of comedy and drama.  It captured the interest from the onstart and didn’t disappoint. Conflict set in when Okonkwo (Nkem Owoh) found himself in the middle of an unhappy marriage.

Speaking of Nkem Owoh, he clearly displayed the ability to reel you in by playing a comedic character that was set in his ways but at the same time conflicted when faced with money issues. He was put in a position of weighing crime versus punishment.

Audio and video sufficed.

The movie ends on an unresolved note and left the audience wanting more. Is there a sequel out there? One is definitely needed.

Overall “Taxi Driver” is a well-acted and engaging film with great music. RECOMMEND
