SENSE OF TOUCH

Title: SENSE OF TOUCH (1 & 2)

Starring:  Tonto Dikeh, Van Vicker

Synopsis:

A father pays for his daughter to take singing lessons in order to keep her off the streets but she rebels against him and runs away with her handsome instructor.

Review:

Dr. Maurice (Nnochiri) would do anything to keep his daughter, Annabel (Dikeh) occupied and off the streets. When she expressed a desire to be a singer he hired Jim (Van Vicker) to give her singing lessons.

The deal is that if Jim turned Annabel into a star, Dr. Maurice would pay him $2.5 million. However, it turned out that Annabel had no interest in singing and instead seduced Jim.

When her father discovered their involvement, Jim lost the job and the hefty payout. Annabel then blackmailed her father for the money he originally promised Jim.

Let’s Talk. This is a drama about an unruly daughter and young love.

Upon hearing Jim (Vicker) sing, Dr. Maurice hired him to teach his daughter and make her a star. The problem is that Van Vicker is a horrible singer and his singing should have been lip-synced in order to make his character believable.

Furthermore, if Jim had some sort of track record in the music business then it would have been feasible to hire him. But Jim had no talent or experience in the industry yet he was offered $2.5 million to make Annabel a star? Absurd.

And what was that guy in jail saying? English subtitles during his dialogue were very necessary.

In all, Van Vicker and Tonto Dikeh gave good performances and managed to breathe life into a simple script and made it entertaining. RECOMMEND
